In 1920, in a small furniture shop right outside Paris, the humble beginnings of the iconic Parisian Bistro Chair were born. It was then that a man named Joseph Gatti, an Italian who immigrated to France in 1909, began his furniture company.
His shop is still around today, one of the last of its kind, crafting these beautiful bistro chairs in over 30 unique patterns that can be seen up and down Parisian streets and boulevards, as well as perched on stoops and terraces.
Many of these chairs are suitable for outdoors, can be stacked to save space, and range in colors from red to gray to brown to black to blue. Whether you are looking to put them inside or outside, these chairs can be used anywhere. I’ve mainly seen them around a dining table, but you could also use one in an entryway or at the end of a hallway. Or even in the corner of a guest room.
